We provide basic education in visual art to children and young people aged 5–20 who reside in Vantaa.
Our education progresses from level to level in accordance with the extensive syllabus of basic education in visual arts.
The studies are subject to a fee. We have five teaching locations throughout Vantaa.
Our teachers are visual arts teachers and professionals.
We also provide group education in Finnish one afternoon/evening per week. The groups include roughly 12–14 students, less in ea…rly education groups. The early and basic studies groups feature students from one or two age groups. The age range can be wider in advanced studies groups.
Students can continue their studies until the age of 21.
The annual lessons are divided across 34 weeks: 16 in the autumn term and 18 in the spring term.
Our education is divided across age groups as follows.
Early studies for ages 5–6 and ages 6−7.
Basic studies for ages 7−12. We also provide building and architecture groups at the basic studies level.
Basic studies workshops for ages 13–14.
Advanced workshops for ages 15−20.
The workshops offered vary slightly each year.
In addition, we organise short courses for young people and families with children at weekends. You can register for the courses regardless of your municipality of residence.
