Digital support
Introduction
Some of the actors provide digital support every day, while some are on-call at specific times in different service points. Service is available in more than ten languages. Most services are available in Finnish, Swedish, and English. Digi support actors are listed below the headings. You can check out what kinds of issues they will help you with, when, and in which languages.
The purpose of digital support services is to help you use electronic services and devices independently and safely.
Support for using devices
The parties listed below give personal instruction in the use of computers, tablets, and smartphones.
Enter ry’s volunteer seniors provide personal and unhurried guidance for using computers, tablets, and smartphones. Furthermore, they help in general matters related to using eServices and apps. The free-of-charge guidance is available to all senior citizens. Peer counseling for senior citizens takes place at Martinlaakso, Myyrmäki, Lumo and Tikkurila libraries, as well as at Foibekartano in Asola. The City of Vantaa’s Pilviagentit arrange digi infos for residents in Myyrmäki and Tikkurila Vantaa-infos. They advise on using devices, online services, and applications. You will find the schedules on Vantaa Tapahtumakalenteri (Vantaa Event Calendar).
At Koivukylä citizens' house, you will get advice on, for instance, everyday digital matters and learning basic digital skills. Vantaa-info’s digital support is available on Mondays and Thursdays. Check the events calendar for more detailed service hours.
Vantaa Adult Education Institute's digi counseling is available at Tikkurila adult education institute. Please note that you must make an advance appointment. Counseling is also provided by remote access (by phone or through Teams). The spring term has ended. The fall program will be announced at a later stage on ilmonet.fi.
Vantaa Association Circle provides you with support for using services on your own device. Instruction is provided in Arabic, Dari, English, French, Farsi, and Finnish.
SeniorSurf's instruction for seniors by remote control: Help with using a computer, smartphone, or another digital device over the phone. The instructors consist of SeniorSurf’s partners’ reliable, volunteer peer instructors all over Finland.
Help with e-Services and transacting
We will help you in everyday transacting and digital problems, but identifiers, passwords, and key figures are private. For your safety, we will not take care of your personal matters on your behalf, and we will not take a stand on the contents of electronic transacting (e.g., contents entered on forms). When required, we will refer you to a relevant expert.
Vantaa Info instructs you in using the city’s and other actors’ e-Services. You can ask for help with, for instance, Early Childhood Education’s VaSa service, Vantaa feedback channel, or the lupapiste.fi service. Tikkurila and Myyrmäki Vantaa-infos will help you on the spot, or by phone, chat, and email.
Vantaa multilingual counseling serves customers at the Employment and Integration Services’ service point and Myyrmäki Vantaa Info. Counseling is available without an appointment on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in Finnish, Swedish, and English. Other service languages (Estonian, Russian, Somali, Dari, Farsi, Albanian, Ukrainian, Italian, and Arabic) are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment. In addition, telephone interpretation is always available when needed. Check the multilingual counseling’s opening hours, service languages, and contact information on the service’s website.

Library employees will help you using the library’s own devices, online services, and e-materials, and in other general digital matters to the best of their abilities. For example, you will get support for finding official services.
The Tsempataan! service helps you with issues related to electronic transacting, as well as using services and apps. Counseling is provided in Finnish, English, Russian, Arabic, and Somali. Counseling takes place on immigrant organizations’ premises, or by phone and email. You must make an advance appointment.
Youth services Ohjaamo's office helps you in issues related to, for instance, job seeking, education and training, housing, finances, health, and leisure time.
Health center’ digi supportinstructs you in using health and social welfare eService at Tikkurila health center on odd-week Wednesdays.
Vantaa Employment Services’s office helps you find employment and study-related services.
Digi counselors support customers as regards, for instance, using Työmarkkinatori ( Job Market Finland), digital issues related to applying for a job, as well as learning basic digital skills. Housing Advice is available without an appointment weekly at Tikkurila Vantaa Info and Ohjaamo. Housing Advice is also available by appointment at the Myyrmäki and Koivukylä citizens’ houses. You will find our service hours on Housing Advice’s website.
Public computers, printing, scanning, and copying official documents
Many of the city's offices have computers available to customers. The computers have basic office software and internet access. Some computers are equipped with special software, such as graphic design software. Public computers can be used free of charge, but some of them must be reserved in advance. Instructions on how to reserve and use public computers are explained on each location’s website.
Libraries offer you the chance to use the client computers and printers at the libraries. You need a library card to print, photocopy, and scan documents at the library. Furthermore, you can only print using the libraries’ computers. Some libraries also offer premises for working, video conferencing, media work, or 3D printing. You can book these premises through the Timmi 360 service. Tikkurila library has a device for digitizing audio recordings.
Myyrmäki and Tikkurila Vantaa Info have computers, scanners, as well as printers for customers to take care of their official business. If you need help with the devices, ask Vantaa Info employees for help. The printouts are always black-and-white A4 sheets. Printouts and photocopies related to transacting with the authorities are free of charge. Other printouts and photocopies are subject to a charge.
